NCRB 2024 report: Goa records India`s highest rape rate; police attribute rise to better registration

The NCRB 2024 data revealed Goa has the highest rape rate in India, at 13.3% per lakh population. While the numbers show 105 registered cases, Goa Police and the NCRB suggest the high figures reflect better accessibility to the justice system and citizen-centric initiatives.
