Scott Bessent, the US Treasury Secretary, has reportedly said that the US has given India “permission” to continue accepting Russian oil as tensions in the Middle East persist. Bessent had made similar remarks earlier as well. Tensions in West Asia escalated following a joint US-Israel military strike on February 28.
